Elizabeth's house is now a HOME!!

This past Thursday Frank & I snuck back to NY for another work weekend at Elizabeth & Kevin's place. We didn't let anyone know we'd be in NY this time. Last time we didn't get everything done since we spent quite a bit of time doing dinners and socializing. It was great to see everyone, but we weren't able to finish what we had set off to do, so we had to drive up again and just work this time.
Work we did!!!! Marge, Eli, Lisa & Nick came over to help as well. We finished the nursery -
- wainscoting, base molding, chair rail, trimmed out the windows & put in new base board heating. It's now officially ready for the furniture and the babies :) Eli took all the windows and screens out and scrubbed them - what a difference!! and what a job that was! Holy Cow!!
The new guest room is now complete with new window trim & base moulding. Closets are up and trimmed, all the doors have trim, and the downstairs den is finished. It looks awesome.
The Hunter Douglas blinds over the sliders look great! Tan carpeting & couches finish off the room for now. Next in -- baby stuff.
Frank & Kevin put a 54in. cabinet over Elizabeth's washer & dryer in the laundry room (my idea thank you... gotta have that) which I promptly filled with all her cleaning & laundry stuff freeing up room in the other cabinets. I can't believe I don't have a shot of the finished half bath. It looks really good with the b&w tile, white wainscot and burgundy walls. Chrome accessories & a corner cabinet finished it off.

We ate in the dining room Friday nite after moving the couches outa there and putting them in the living room where they belonged. They didn't fit since the den couches were in there - once the den was complete it started a chain reaction & everything fell into place where it should.
We celebrated with dinner in the dining room YAY!!!!! and toasting to all our hard work & the light at the end of the tunnel. WHEW.
On Monday we cleaned up the tools, dusted & vacuumed and admired our hard work. Together we took back 6 rooms - & made their house feel like their home. Now we wait........
