In between my Olympics obsession

The past couple weeks have been crazy. I made sundresses for Lila & Alexis - my first real sewing venture using a pattern!! I did Lila's first and it took MUCH longer than Lexi's! Obviously a learning curve. I love how they turned out - but they needed matching scrunchies of course. I got them done in 2 nites and in the mail in time for Elizabeth to pack them for their trip to the Outer banks. I hope they fit them. They're growing up too fast!!
I booked a flight up to NY for aug 22 thru 28. I'm really looking forward to it. I want to meet my new boy cuz Joseph. He's just adorable. It'll be nice to have a few days to see everyone.
I finally started doing my running quilt too. I guess doing the girls' dresses gave me some confidence and inspired me to get going on it. Today I bought my batting but still need to find material for the back. I'm really into that almost instant gratification I get from completing a project so quickly - or at least seeing some good progress.
Well now I have to get back to my Olympics - and hopefully see Gabby grab a Gold on the unevens!!
