Here's hoping 3's a CHARM!!!!

....so this is the third time I'm posting this!!!! I thought I just got too tired to finish the first one & never saved it, but I did it again just now & AGAIN it didn't post!!!! If it happens again I'm getting rid of my Apple!!! At least it's telling me that it's autosaving my draft. If you're reading this it's a good sign.

Jim and Ling look great as usual. My little brother - I didn't realize I was that short. Lila & Nana
Elizabeth & Shelley have posted tons of pictures on Facebook of the girls which is great! I love the fact that now I can Skype with them - and the girls can SEE me. I'm so afraid they are going to forget me...it's been over 3 months and that's forever to them!!! I'm hoping to get back up there soon - although we are going to be together on the beach in the Outer Banks in July :) That will be here before you know it.

I've been busy in the yard as usual for this time of year. Yesterday I planted some grapes! I'm hoping Frank will build me a pergola in the back near my pond so they will create some natural shade for the pond. We lost the only tree that was making any shade back there & I'm having a real algae problem now. Got the grapes for $2 in the clearance section at Lowe's - couldn't resist even though I didn't know where I was planting them, or what they were climbing on. I also couldn't resist the Figs - we need a bigger yard LOL!!!!
We've been eating lots of lettuce, green beans, snow peas & bok choy from the garden. Started pulling out some of the peas to make room for my cucumbers. The peas started getting too tall & falling over even though we tied them up.
I finally finished the last section around the pool. No more slope. Got some snapdragons from work, free compost, and leftover 4X4's !!! After a couple hours of sweat equity.....TA DAAAH!! Looks much better now.

This picture was before the pine bark went down, but it's a nice view of the back of the house. Frank put the hammock off the back patio under the palm. maybe now I'll finally relax - REALLY relax. He sunk a 4x4 next to the big Washington Palm which is now huge and makes some nice afternoon shade and put the hammock there for us. Nice sat. dish I know - but we'll be facing the other way so we can look out on the yard.
Of course I always have company out there. LOVE my froggies!! and of course Ginger follows me everywhere.
snuggled in the Canna.

this crazy thing is a pumpkin vine I think. I know last year one of the pumpkins broke in this area. I'm leaving it since it's doing its own thing and it's out of the way. We'll see what happens. I try not to mess with Mother Nature :) I baked off this loaf of French bread the other night. It was so pretty I had to take a picture. I've had to stop bringing leftover dough home too often since we have no control & eat the whole thing. We can't help it! Fresh bread & fresh veggies from the garden ! Life is GOOD!!!
